Welcome....to the home of the Herndon Wanderers,
a Washington Area Girls Soccer League U16 Division 1 team.
The Herndon Wanderers are a Girls U16 team playing in Division 1 of the Washington Area Girls Soccer League (WAGS). The Wanderers are professionally coached and trained by Andy Fertick (USSF "D" license). Andy has coached JV and Varsity boys high school soccer, and is a former NCAA Division 1 player for Western Kentucky University. This spring, the Wanderers have won their division with 2 games to spare and will be placed in WAGS HS Division 1 next fall. The team is interested in adding quality players who are dedicated and have the passion to play at a high level. We will be holding rolling tryouts during our regular practice sessions, Tuesday's 6:30 - 8:00 and Thursday's 6:30 - 8:00 at Arrowbrook Park- a lit turf field. If you are interested in a tryout, please contact Andy Fertick at firstname.lastname@example.org or Team Manager, Carla Christopher @ email@example.com.
WANDERERS SPRING 2013 WRAP UP
The Herndon Wanderers enjoyed their finest season yet this past Spring. In our first season in Division 1, the Wanderers were finalists and finished alone in 2nd place. The girls finished as the highest ranked Virginia team in all of WAGS. We look forward to the Fall where we will look to challenge again for the division title. The Wanderers will also participate in several showcases and State Cup during the Fall season. The team has added several players to the roster and is looking to bring on more quality players at the conclusion of the Fall season. If your daughter is a talented and committed player, please contact coach Andy Fertick at firstname.lastname@example.org.
